The president general of the Urhobo progress union (U.P.U) worldwide, chief (Engr) Joseph Omene (JP), the Ejorhofo of Mosogar kingdom has identified hard work, honesty, dedication to duty, focus and a drive to attain a lofty good as the only panacea to success and recognition in life.

Chief Omene who addressed journalists soon after he received the prestigious award of excellence in service on his good works to humanity including the entire Urhobo people from members of the Nigerian institute of management, Sapele chapter at the Sapele power station plc club hall, Ogorode, Sapele, Delta State, advised Nigerian youths, especially youths in Urhobo land to do everything humanly possible to work hard through a genuine effort so that their activities would be recognized and be rewarded accordingly.

The president, general of the Urhobo apex body, the UPU said he was elated at the award giving to him describing such as a more call to further service which is a privileged giving him which goes a long way to reveal that his activities and good works to the society is recognized by some group of persons, explaining that when you are so recognized, it afford you the opportunity to put in your best in service.

He assured that he will put in his best to the Nigerian institute of management so as to encourage the younger ones to strive hard and achieve something good for themselves and the society at large pointing out that his overwhelming awards across the global is due largely to his hard work which the people have discovered adding that if you work hard, you achieve the best for yourself, “if you work hard and feel people out there do not see you and notice your performance, it is not so, people do see your activities and the role you play in society”.

Chief Omene added that if you are a societal deviant but pretending that people will not know, you are only deceiving yourself, “if you are an asset to the society, people will know, and once you are recognized, it is an encouragement to others in the society, which will propel you to strive harder, like you that has achieved so that they too can equally receive awards like he (Omene) just received.

He advised the younger generation of Nigerians to ensure they work hard to attain lofty goals in life and never to be involved in activities that are inimical to the growth of the society and those things that could endanger their lifes.

Chief Omene one of the awardees of the Nigerian institute of management was born in Mosogar, Ethiope West Local government council Delta State many years ago, and attended the local Authority primary school Ugbomoya water side Jesse, Academy Grammer School Sapele, Gererbe Technical suhule lubeck Germany, University of Lagos and University of Benin respectively where he obtained chains of degrees attached to his profile.

The Urhobo astute leader, is the proprietor of paragons children School Gbagada-Lagos, the board chairman paragon  Group of Companies, as he has also held different positions which include member 6th Governing council college of Education Agbor (1999) 7th Governing council college Of Education Agbor (2002), former member interim management Education Mosogar, Former Chairman Governing Council, College of Education Warri, Former Chairman Council, college of physical Education, Mosogar, National president, Okotie Eboh Grammer School, Old Boys Association Sapele since 2002 till Date and he is currently the president general, Urhobo progress union U.P.U worldwide.

Chief Joseph Omene, a philanthropist par Excellence, is a recipient of so many awards which is increasing daily, but not limited to Honorary Doctorate Degree PH.D.(H.C), youth Ambassador for peace of the universal peace federation for world peace, Association of Community Newspaper publishers of Nigeria, as corporate Award for Excellence, National Association of Urhobo Student (Urhobo Philanthropic) Excellence, A recipient of Delta State Merit Award as the best community developer and as the best chairman of the Governing council of Tertiary Institutions and many others. Chief Joseph Omene is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of management chartered and has contributed positively to the advancement of management in Nigeria.
