Uduaghan Solidarity Front 4 Goodluck & Okowa (USF4G&O) has called on Nigerians and Deltans to vote en mass for President Goodluck Jonathan and Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as governor of Delta State in the forthcoming general elections.

President Goodluck Jonathan

This call was made by Engr. Ezekiel Avwonye, national coordinator, Uduaghan Solidarity Front 4 Goodluck & Okowa (USF4G&O) at the on going PDP governorship campaign rally for Senator Okowa, he said that the call has become necessary because President Jonathan deserves a second term in office to enable him complete his transformational agenda which has made Nigeria a destination point as well as the biggest economy in Africa in spite of insurgency in North Eastern part of the country.

Engr. Avwonye noted that roads, railways, agriculture, education, power sector among many other sectors have not had it so good adding that the recent drop in the pump price of petrol is a pointer to the fact that he handles national issues with the interest of the people at heart.

Speaker further, Engr. Avwonye disclosed that the socio-political pressure group that has been in existence since 2006 has been working assiduously to complement the overall efforts of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party(PDP) to ensure total victory for the party’s candidate in the February 2015 general elections.

He called on Nigerians and Deltans to be wary of fake promises, he described the attack on President Jonathan and PDP campaign team in Jos, Bauchi and Katsina as barbaric and a manifestation of what to expect on insecurity if the APC takes control, adding, “if they couldn’t control their supporters in these areas, what is the guarantee that they can tackle insurgency in parts of the country?”

The national coordinator of USF4G&O then enjoined Deltans to vote massively for Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for the position of governor of Delta State saying that the PDP governorship candidate is an experienced and detribalized person who has served in various capacities, adding, “lets join hands to work for the victory of Senator Okowa to be our next governor, he has the experience, he is a detribalized person, he has garnered experience in service as Secretary to Local Government, chairman of local government, commissioner in three ministries, Secretary to Delta State Government and now a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Let’s give him the opportunity to take our dear state to the next level.”

Engr. Avwonye then enjoined members of the group and all PDP members to avoid joining forces with the opposition to fight against the ruling PDP over trivial issues only to resurface when the battle would have fought and won.

He urged members to strictly carry out the directives of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, governor of Delta State on ‘Door to Door Campaign’ to sensitize Deltans and resident non-Deltans on the need for the people to vote en mass for all the candidates of the ruling PDP.
