Olorogun Michael Ibru died in US facility at the age of 86.

In a statement signed by Gbemre and made available to our correspondent, Gbemre described late Michael Ibru as a foremost greatest African business investor of the 21st century.

The statement reads in part: “This is to render my Deepest Heartfelt Condolence to the IBRU FAMILY for the loss of the Great Olorogun Michael Christopher Onajirhevbe Ibru.

“The Ibrus and the Urhobo nation has lost a rear gem indeed. Olorogun Michael Ibru was indeed a foremost greatest African business investor of the 21st century.

“His wealth was not associated to politics, looting of public funds, or gathered through fronts of government officials and politicians in the country, like many Nigerian billionaires we have in the country.

“He brought fame to the Urhobo nation, Delta State and the entire nation with his business prowess.

“He was also known as “Ibru Fish” World-wide and we can proudly say there was no trace of corruption linked to his name.

“His exit to the great beyond is indeed a painful loss to the Urhobo nation, Delta State and the entire country.

“May his soul rest in peace as we pray to God to give the Ibru Family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
