Vibrant and highly resourceful PDP female consensus candidate, Chief (Mrs) Faith Majemite has been duly declared winner of the August 9, party primaries held at the Local Government Council Secretariat, Otorho-Agbon, in Ethiope East. Her victory was overwhelming as the entire party structure in the LGA, party faithful and her teaming supporters that cut across political interest groups came to embrace and rejoice with her.

MAJEMITE AND DR KINGS

Chief (Mrs) Majemite while addressing her teaming supporters, thanked the Executive Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, PDP State Chairman, Chief Peter Nwabochi, Royal Fathers in Agbon and Abraka Kingdoms, PDP LGA Leader, Chief Bernard Edewor, PDP Ethiope East LGA Chairman, Chief (Dr) Kings Okpako, PDP Elder, Chief Michael Adiotomre,  Royal Fathers in Agbon and Abraka Kingdoms, PDP party leaders/elders and party faithful for their massive support and prayers. She pledged her continued loyalty to Governor Uduaghan’s leadership and administration as well as the entire party structure.

She thereafter moved in a convoy into KOKORI town where a battery of youths received her as their sole candidate for the October 25 LGA elections. The youths in their hundreds came from different communities to converge in Kokori to give Mrs. Majemite a resounding welcome and ovation. Men and women abandoned their commercial and farming activities and came in droves, wearing excessive “white talc power” round their necks as a sign of a new era of peace and progressive for the entire communities in Ethiope East.

Across Ethiope East LGA, jubilation rented the air. Both young and old went “break-dancing” while the elderly showcased exclusive traditional dance steps which they reserved for the victory of Mrs. Majemite. She joined the groove and gave her supporters prestigious and well calculated dance steps. The singing and dancing lasted for about two hours.

While Addressing the youths, PDP candidate for the October 25 LGA elections in Ethiope East, Mrs Majemite promise to work relentlessly with the Senator representing Delta Central and the State Government to ensure that a special programme is worked out for Kokori restive youths who have now resolved to shun all social and criminal vices. She urged the youths to cooperate with the federal and state government whenever the call is made for them to comply with the terms of the programme so that youths within Kokori and other communities in Ethiope East LGA can be enrolled, trained and equipped for wealth creation and economic prosperity.

The Youths expressed their sincere appreciation to Mrs. Majemite for her efforts in ensuring that their future is well secured economically. The Leader of the youths (name withheld) said that throughout her tenure and beyond peace will reign in Kokori Community and other communities in Ethiope East but advised that “non-progressive politicians” should take necessary steps to correct the wrongs of the past before mingling with youths.

At the moment, Mrs. Majemite stands out as a “Political Colossus” while candidates of the opposition political parties are relatively unknown and very unpopular among the people.  It is obvious and crystal clear that Mrs. Majemite will sweep the polls on October 25. Her popularity, acceptance and political pedigree is intimidating and too superb for any candidate to match in the present political electioneering dispensation.

Meanwhile, Faith Majemite Solidarity Movement (FMSM) will soon roll out political drums to extensively project the political manifesto of Mrs. Majemite. Right from the outset, her mission and vision for the people of Ethiope East are well documented and articulated which will now be marshaled out as “electioneering manifesto” for presentation to the people during her campaign tour.
