The O’tega Emerhor Campaign Organisation has faulted the call by some Nigerians and some members of the People Democratic Party for the removal or resignation of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Attahiru Jega.

In a statement by its director of publicity, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, the Emerhor Organisation wondered why any sensible person will call for the removal of Jega at this critical time. Such a call is an invitation to anarchy, the statement went further.

“Surprisingly none of these people has come up with any concrete fact to warrant such an action.” On the permanent voters cards (PVC) distribution, Oghenesivbe said the available statistics showed that it is even the South West, an All Progressives Congress stronghold, that has the lowest percentage of 63.20 % distribution, with Ogun State having the least percentage of 40.86% distribution of the 36 states.

He urged the PDP and all Nigerians to allow INEC do its work, calling the clamour for Jega’s removal a distraction. “What they are doing is like asking a man what he is about to say, which is presumptuous. You should rather ask a man, ‘what did you just say’ which is factual, he concluded.
