Olorogun O’tega Emerhor (2n right), Chief Frank Kokori (middle), Chief Ede Dafinone (2nd left) and others at the Emerhor rally in Oghara

Emerhor said it was high time Oghara youths stood up and face the thugs that rig votes for the ruling political party in the state noting that the PDP political thugs were not stronger than the entire people of Ethiope west.

Emerhor who was speaking at a rally in Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state said the people of the council area will get relevant political positions if they elect him as their governor.

He said that for the past 16 years the people of Delta State have been suffering under the administration of PDP advising the people to say no to unemployment, bad roads, and political marginalization.

He lamented that the ruling party has rendered Delta youths useless despite the fact that human resources abound in the state. He said the ruling party in the state has refused to empower the youths making them easy targets to politicians who use them for electoral thuggery and violence during election.

He therefore, charged Delta youths not to allow themselves to be used as political thugs, stressing that now was the time for them to fight for their future by saying no to political violence and snatching of ballot boxes.

Emerhor charged the teeming supporters who came out in their numbers to vote for all APC candidates in the February general elections. He said the era of bad government was over and that it was only through the polls that the People’s wish can be achieved. He added that the high rate of unemployment in the state can only be solved by purposeful leaders who know how to create employment for the people.

He reminded them that unemployment will be a things of the past if voted into power because he is going to set aside ten billion naira that will be used to encourage women and youths to start up small and medium scale businesses without necessarily going to the banks to seek for loans.

He charged them to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) saying it  is the only power they have that will enable them vote out the bad government that has kept them in perpetual slavery  for the past 16 years.
