She made this observation during a news briefing to mark the 30 years anniversary of the school.

She emphasized that funding has become a major problem in the development of private schools noting that where loans are available stringent requirements are demanded which makes almost impossible to attain loans.

Macqueen’s School proprietress decried the lack of necessary equipment to impact knowledge as the bane for dwindling educational fortunes in pubic school alleging that they have become heaven for examination malpractices.

She noted that most parents are in the habit of involving their children and wards in examination malpractice.

She explained that some parents irrespective of their wards preparedness for examinations, the parents go behind to induce officials to enable their wards passed.

Mrs Williams said: “These parents don’t care on the educational capabilities of their children especially as regards the grades they make and in most cases, boycott schools with strict measures and rules to ensure that they bag the required credit.”

The school which was founded in 1985, has produced over 50 medical doctors, engineers, and other professionals several fields including a professor currently based in Scotland.

On his part, the school principal, Prince Lanre Ikediashi said the school is one of the few schools that play host to the services of foreign teachers in Delta State.

Ikediashi maintained that the Macqueen’s school is one of the best in the Warri metropolis and places high premium on moral and Christian upbringing including entrepreneurial training for junior to senior secondary school.

“Macqueen’s Nursery, Primary and High School is 30! It has been thirty years of unparallel success in training out of fully bred school leavers who are among the best in every aspect of life and in all major cities of the world”, he added.
