Warri South Council Chairman, Hon Dr Michael Tidi, has felicitated with the people of Warri South council as they join Christians all over the world to celebrate Easter, just as he urged them to emulate Jesus Christ by making sacrifices that will sustain the existing peace in the council.

He also enjoined Christians to pray against the challenges of insecurity in the country.

In a Press Statement by his Senior Assistance, Media, Mr. Francis Sadhere, the Warri South Council Chairman said that Easter was a moment Christians cherished the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ to save mankind, noting that as individuals, Christians must put the welfare of their neighbours as a priority.

Tidi called on the people of the council to cooperate with council in its quest to develop the area as they reflect on the ideals of Easter celebration .

According to him, Easter is a period for fresh beginning, forgiveness, love and friendship and enjoined privileged individuals to reach out to the less privileged, widows and orphans to deepen the culture of true Christianity.

While wishing Warri South Council a Happy Easter celebration, the Chairman urged them to stay safe and observe all Covid 19 protocols during and after the celebration.

Tidi used the opportunity to assure the people off Warri South that he will continue to ensure that the dividends of democracy flows down to all parts of the council as they try to develop the council and attract more investors.

Tidi appealed to residents in Warri South to cooperate with members of the task force on beautification, stressing that his administration was determined to make Warri clean again.
