He made the commendation in his Easter message to the good people of Delta State, urging them not to relent in their efforts to keep Deltans and Nigerians together through consistent prayers and supplication unto God.

Emerhor’s message released in Abuja by his Director of Media and Political Communication, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe said Easter is a period of self spiritual assessment by every Christian and offers greater and better opportunities for positive adjustments in our relationship with the “HOLY TRINITY” as well as setting new agenda for spiritual upliftment to achieve individual and national divine destiny.

Emerhor further asserted: “I believe strongly that no individual will be able to achieve any meaningful success if God is shut out of life endeavours.

“I believe also that the spiritual controls the physical, therefore it is ideal and very important that we put the “HOLY TRINITY” first and strive to be closer to our maker at all times so as to fulfill divine destiny.

“I urge Christians to pray for themselves, families, Nigeria and our political leaders so that the unity in diversity which is the backbone of our collective strength as a people will continue to enjoy divine grace and uncommon favour from our supreme head, God.”

The APC chieftain also use the occasion of the Easter season to commend the excellent leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari. He said Mr President deserves the commendation and prayers of Nigerians for his uncommon display of political will-power to curb corruption which has been identified as the nation’s major enemy and cause of socioeconomic backwardness.

Emerhor described President Buhari as a “God sent” at this critical time of our nation’s financial woes occasioned by massive corruption in high places as revealed through the recovery of over N5 trillion and on-going excluding the several billions of dollars to be repatriated to the country from across the world.

He enjoined the nation’s spiritual leaders, Christians and Muslims, not to relent in their collective efforts in prayers so as to keep Nigeria as one geographical and political entity.

“APC Delta political family wishes the good people of Delta State and Nigerians both at home and in Diaspora a superlative and spiritually rewarding Easter season and celebration” the statement added.
