Delta State House of Assembly hopeful, Comrade Enetimi Government has officially declared his intention to run for the Delta State House of Assembly, Burutu South, Constituency 11 seat in the upcoming 2019 election.

Comrade Government who officially declared his intention to represent the people of Burutu South constituency 11, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday at Tuomo community, Burutu local government area, promised the large crowd that came out to witness his declaration better representation.

He told the people of Tuomo that it was high time the people of Burutu South experienced the dividends of democracy, adding that as a young and vibrant politician who has served other top politicians in Burutu he is going to bring his wealth of experience to better lives of his people.

He said if given the opportunity to represent his people he will ensure that every child in Burutu South constituency 11 gets proper education adding that education is the key to catapult themselves from poverty.

Comrade Government promised the people of Tuomo community that if he is  voted into the seat, he will fortitfy the shore protection problem that has been abandoned by successive governments and which has threatened to wipe out the entire community.

He said, “Today I have come to solicit the support of the people of Tuomo community. I have come to officially declare my intention to run for the Delta State House of Assembly, Burutu South constituency 11. I want to assure them that unlike other politicians who have come and gone, I am going to give them the change they are waiting for.

“If you look at this river side, you will see that the shore protection is no longer strong. Several governmentis have come and gone yet they have not done anything about it. But I want to assure them that if I am voted to represent them my first priority will be this shore protection.

He said he was motivated to delve into politics to represent his constituency because of the love he has for his people and also because he wants to rescue the people from the hands of fake politicians who he said have been deceiving the people for too long.

On the extension of collection of Permanent Voters Card, Comrade Government while thanking the government for the move, appealed to INEC to send their staff to remote villages in Burutu council area to conduct the registration, saying that some elligable voters in the villages do not have the means to travel to Burutu secretariat to register.

Receiving Comrade Government to Tuomo community, Hon Duduke Ebitimi, the APC leader in Burutu council, the five APC ward chairmen, the community leaders, the traditional head and the people of Tuomo community assured Comrade Government of their support.
