Delta State Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama in his bid to occupy Government House, Asaba, May 29th, 2015, has gone spiritual by jetting out of the country to Jerusalem, seeking divine intervention.

Prof. Amos Utuama

Our correspondent gathered that the Delta State Deputy Governor traveled out recently to the Holy land for spiritual upliftment to overcome any obstacle that may stand on his way to Government House Asaba next year.

According to our checks, the Deputy Governor is determined to take over mantle of leadership from Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan next year, but he was said to be ruffed with the coming of Sir Tony Obuh into the Delta State Guber race hence the need to seek divine intervention in the Holy Land.

Our investigation revealed that in his determination to contest the state Governorship election February 14, 2015, Prof. Utuama, a catholic travelled to Jerusalem so as “to be close to God.”

The Deputy Governor, according to our findings, is expected to make a formal declaration of his intention to contest upon his return from Jerusalem.

But it was not clear at the time of going to press when the Deputy Governor is expected back in the state.

However, a dependable source hinted that; “I can tell you that as soon as the Deputy Governor is back from Jerusalem, where he is seeking divine intervention over his gubernatorial ambition, he will inform the State Exco of his intention to join the state governorship race and this will be

very soon and thereafter he will make a public declaration.”

National Reformer Newspaper had earlier reported exclusively of the intention of the Delta State Deputy Governor to join the sea of governorship aspirants in the state.
