In a bid to cushion the working condition of members of the Delta State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria(SWAN), Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State has donated a new 18 Seater Bus to them.

Presenting the bus at a brief ceremony in Asaba, Senator Okowa who was represented by Chief Patrick Ukah, Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG) ,a former Sports Marketer and presenter commended the Sports Writer of Delta state, he urged them to up their reportage.

According to the Governor, “Iam a man who back my words with action which help in facilitating the presentation of this executive bus to SWAN, Delta State.”

Senator Okowa said that with the bus, members of SWAN, Delta State can effectively move within and beyond state to carry out their duties effectively.

Receiving the bus, Comr. Azuka Chiemaka, chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Delta State on behalf of members of the Association expressed appreciation to the Governor, he said that with the bus, members of the Association can now effectively carry out their duties especially during the Sports Festival and Youth Games.
