Delta Central Senatorial Aspirant, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor at the weekend, got royal blessings from Eze (Sir) Chibueze Chukwu, Akanachimba I, the Onyeisi Ndigbo of Delta Central and South Zones,

Receiving the blessings at the Palace of the Eze Ndigbo, Olorogun Emerhor said that the role of the Igbos in the Delta Central cannot be overemphasized, noting that they had always been playing a major role in the polity of Delta Central Senatorial district.

He said politics was a game of numbers and that was why he had taken his time to come to the palace to solicit for the support of the king and his people.

Olorogon Emerhor noted that the Igbo people were industrious people, adding that with their support his dream of going to the hollowed chambers was a done deal.

He explained that APC is the party that was going to bring competition to the ruling party, stressing that the emergence of APC in Nigeria has given the people opportunity to make a choice, adding that the party has come stay in Nigeria.

He said before the emergence of the APC, PDP was the problem that the country had, emphasizing that they want to rule Nigeria forever, calling on all progressives in the country to rally round the new political party in Nigeria.

He said; “The problem we have in this country was that one party believed that they can rule this country forever. The emergence of the new party is something that we should be proud of. We are not driving PDP away but we are giving them competition.”

Speaking on the legacy that the late Pius Ewherido left behind, Olorogun Emerhor said he is going to carry on the legacies from where he stopped, promising that he is going to take care of all the scholarships the late Ewherido left behind.

Responding, the Eze Ndigbo was very happy for the visit and lauded Olorogun Emerhor for joining the new party and said himself and his people were going to play their part in ensuring that he gets to the senate to represent all of them.
