Delta Central Bye-Election: Olomu, Otu-Jeremi endorse Emerhor for Senate

The people of Olomu and Otu-Jeremi Kingdoms, both of Ughelli South, Delta State, have thrown their weight behind the candidature of the All Progressives Congress Candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, saying that His several works of patriotism and philanthropy across Urhobo and Nigeria speaks volume and showcase him as a selfless leader and lover of his people.
The people made this endorsement when the Emerhor Campaign Train visited both towns to campaign and create awareness about how they could vote in the forthcoming senatorial bye-election.
The people added that Olorogun Emerhor stand tall amongst his peer in Urhobo land as he has created more jobs opportunities for many Urhobo youths, adding that they have confidence in him that he will deliver the dividends of the democracy to the Urhobo nation considering his success in his vast business empire.
While asking Emerhor to continue the developmental programs of Late Pius Ewherido when he gets to the senate, the people of Olomu kingdom also asked that he uses his influence to bring federal presence to the community.
Speaking on behalf of the Otu-Jeremy people, Chief Ogborode N. Ogbon, Coordinator, Ughelli South, said Emerhor’s contributions were evident in the large number of employment he had offered to Urhobos in his business empire spanning Banking, Insurance, Human Resources Development and consultancy in and outside Nigeria.
He said; “We are also aware of the huge amount of personal resources he has invested in the political emancipation of Urhobo Nation in the present political doldrums that the Urhobos have been pushed to by the ruling party. Olorogun Emerhor remains the highest donor towards the building of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Hall at Uvwiamuge, Agbarho.”
Chief Ogbon also said that the people of Olomu Kingdom were confident that he would succeed and excel in Abuja considering his glaring, marvelous and enviable success track records in corporate Nigeria.
He added; “To this end we unanimously endorse your candidature for the Senatorial election and also offer our un-alloyed support for your election to the Senate come October 12, 2013.
Speaking earlier, Chief Frank Kokori told the teeming supporters of theOlorogun Emerhor to vote for him because according to him, Emerhor was the best candidate, stressing that the PDP was a rogue party while DPP was an orphan party.
Olorogun Emerhor while addressing his teeming supporters, lamented that Urhobo sons and daughters who were in PDP were never considered when the party is taking major key decision, assuring the people that with APC the Urhobos will be deeply involved in major key decisions that affects them.
He also promise the people that his going to the senate was for the best interest of his people, reminding them that if he succeeds in his bid, uplifting the Urhobos will be his paramount concern.
