DELTA 2015: IJAW YOUTH DECLARE SUPPORT FOR APC, EMERHOR

Hundreds of Ijaw youths in Delta State have declared their total support for the Delta State gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.

The Ijaw youth made this declaration at Cyprian Hotel, Warri, venue of political activities during the weekend where over two hundred Ijaw youths under the aegis of Ijaw Youths For O’tega Emerhor dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the APC.
The Delta State APC gubernatorial candidate, Olorogun Emerhor reassured the Delta youth of economic prosperity and good governance anchored on transparency, integrity, accountability and proactive leadership.
It will be recalled that less than seven days ago, the Forum of Ex-militants in Delta Central led by Generals KK, Tufman and Igho declared their support for the APC and Olorogun Emerhor and went further to publish their declaration in the Vanguard Newspapers.
Olorogun Emerhor told the enthusiastic crowd that this year’s election is all about change, adding that political propaganda and election rigging tactics of the PDP will not work because Deltans have resolved to vote and protect their votes until results are announced by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).
He advised the youth to be law abiding and work underground to uncover every electioneering malpractices that will further plunge the State in a more disastrous socio-economic backwardness as evident in the PDP’s sixteen (16) years of bad governance, rooted in massive looting of the State treasury, adding that corruption has been the only business of PDP government at Unity House Asaba, from 1999 till date.
Emerhor said the youth are entitled to quality life through prudent deployment and utilization of resources earned from the massive oil wealth of the state which the PDP government mismanaged for nearly two decades.
He promise that his administration will invest substantial billions of Naira in youth and women empowerment and poverty eradication programmes as well as quality education and vocational training that will transit young graduates from ridding Okada to becoming successful entrepreneurs and corporate executives.
Olorogun Emerhor who is also the Chairman of Transcorp Group and Vice-Chairman/Group CEO of Standard Alliance Group, posited that the misrule of the PDP in Delta and Nigeria has retarded the overall growth of the nation in virtually all sectors of the economy and disclosed that the APC is essentially established by progressives to bring the much desired economy prosperity and infrastructural development.
Present at the occasion are; the State Party Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue, Warri South APC Senatorial Candidate, Prince Yemi Emiko, twenty five candidates of APC and the Director of Media & Political Communication of OTEGA4GOVERNOR CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, amongst others.
