ALL is now set for the 26th coronation anniversary celebration of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II, kicking off tomorrow in the oil-rich city of Warri, Delta State.

In an interview with our Correspondent in Warri, the Chairman of the Coronation Planning Committee, Chief Emmanuel Tetsola and the Chairman of the Publicity Sub-committee, Mr. Emma Okotie-Eboh spoke on preparation so far mad measures put in place to ensure a peacefoluofwarriul, hitch-free and all inclusive celebration.

Our correspondent reports that sons and daughters of the kingdom both within and in the Diaspora, as well as dignitaries from all walks of life are expected at the week-long celebration, kicking off tomorrow.

Speaking in an interview at the Olu Palace, Aghofen, the Chairman of the Coronation Anniversary Committee, Chief Emmanuel Tetsola, described the annual event as the mother of all events that brings all Itsekiri sons and daughters together to celebrate and brainstorm on issues concerning the growth and development of the land.

He said the event is not just an Itsekiri affair but one that attracts people from all walks of life and ethnic nationalities.

Chief Tetsola revealed that preparations are in top gear and all measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful and hitch free celebration.

On his part, Chairman of the Publicity Sub-Committee, Mr. Okotie-Eboh said that the Coronation Anniversary which showcases cultural displays and historic elements amongst others had been a veritable tool in fostering peace and unity in the state.

He appealed to participants to maintain a peaceful disposition throughout the celebration and eschew acts that are inimical to societal peace and order.

The 26th Coronation Anniversary of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II begins today with a Praise Day at the Olu Palace, Aghofen.

And tomorrow, May 2nd which is the Coronation Anniversary proper will witness an anniversary address by the Itsekiri monarch to his people along side cultural displays just as the third day will feature lectures, free health care and lawn tennis at the Warri club while the fourth day will be for art exhibitions and cultural displays.

On Sunday, May 5, 2013 will be the grand finale with a special thanksgiving service at the Foursquare Gospel; Church, Olu Palace, Warri.
