But for God, they would have perished along the busy Airport road in the oil city of Warri, Delta State when their Jeep rammed into a trailer loaded with iron rods.

The crushed Jeep

It was gathered that the accident occurred at about 10:00pm on Thursday, March 6, 2014.

The next morning, the scene of the accident caused a serious traffic with cars snailing on the road for hours.

Motorists and residents who were out on morning rush were held up for hours in the traffic gridlock along the Airport road.

Tracy, 28 years old Warri based businesswoman who drove the Jeep, carrying three others told our correspondents how God saved their lives in the accident.

She said they were returning home when suddenly they ran into the trailer that had neither conductor nor warning signs.

She narrated thus; “I was driving home along the Airport road at about 10:00pm, the road was dark and suddenly, we saw this trailer loaded with iron rods trying to reverse into a premises to offload its products. The trailer driver had no conductor and there were no warning signs; no  reverse lights. The rods pierced through my car and came out at the other end.”

According to her; “God saved all of us in my Jeep, as soon as the accident happened, the driver of the trailer escaped from the scene because he thought he has killed all of us. Only one occupant in my Jeep sustained a minor injury, he was treated that night in a nearby clinic.”

“I still cannot explain how we came out alive because it was a horrible accident. I am a Christian, but I want to rededicate my life to God more than ever before because we cannot thank Him enough for what he did for us.” Tracy said.
