Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief Ighoyota Amori, has appealed to eligible voters who registered during the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, voters registration exercises but are yet to collect their Personal Voters Cards, PVCs, to do so as time is of the essence.

Amori made the appeal while speaking at the flag off ceremony of the party’s Ward to Ward Campaigns by Delta PDP governorship candidate, Rt Hon Oborevwori Sheriff Francis Orohwedor, in Udu Local Government Area on Tuesday 7th November, saying that the good governance strides of governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, must be sustained and improved upon by casting their votes for PDP on a five over five basis.

He promised to attract meaningful socioeconomic and infrastructure development to Delta Central and by extension the state in general when he resumes duty in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly in 2023.

In the same vein, the Director General of Delta PDP Campaign Council, Rt Hon Solomon Funkekeme, said the PVC is the only valid tool or weapon to retire the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Aso Rock and for Atiku-Okowa of PDP to reset Nigeria for the benefit of all Nigerians.

He further asserted that with the PVC, eligible voters across the three senatorial districts comprising twenty five LGAs and 270 Ward will be able to vote Atiku-Okowa for President and Sheriff-Onyeme for Governor.

The campaign Director General pointed out that the manifestos of the candidates; “My Covenant with Nigerians” by Atiku-Okowa and “M.O.R.E Agenda by Sheriff-Onyeme, clearly articulated steps to be taken in terms of economic policies and programmes that would bring about accelerated developments and socioeconomic progress at the federal and state levels.

“Make no mistakes, the voting formula is; Atiku-Okowa for President, Sheriff-Onyeme for Governor in Delta State and all other PDP candidates on the ballots in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

“PDP is the only party that is painstakingly working round the clock to rebuild Nigeria at this time, and we must use our PVCs on election day to stop APC misrule.

“Use your PVC to put an end to the ongoing acute sufferings of Nigerians, use your PVCs to say no to poverty, joblessness, high inflation, insecurity, declining value of the Naira, stagnated education, power and health sectors of our national life, and other multifaceted problems bedeviling our country as a result of APC’s bad governance,” Funkekeme said.
