Former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Prince Omatsone J.F.K. has promised effective representation for the people of Delta South Senatorial District if elected senator.

Speaking in Warri, Hon. Omatone who is contesting the senatorial election under the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP) said he was under pressure from the Ijaws, Itsekiris and the Isokos to go to the senate, assuring that he would not disappoint them.

The former speaker while saying he was sure of victory at the polls said the people of his senatorial district are yearning for effective representation.

“It is my sincere desire to give the people of Delta South senatorial district effective representation if elected as a senator February 14, 2015. As a grassroots politician, I know the needs of my people and that change the people have been yearning for has come. I will bring the much needed change to our people if elected as senator,” Hon. Omatsone said.

According to him, the time was up for the incumbent Senator James Manager who has been on the seat for the past 12 years explaining that he has been nursing the ambition of going to the senate, but gave it up to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan when he earlier indicated his interest to run for senate.

“But when the governor dumped his senatorial ambition my people lifted my spirit once again when they called upon me to jhoin the senatorial race and I am in the race to win and bring development to the people through effective representation,” he said and advised the electorates to vote wisely if the desired change must come to them.

He also said; “I am tested, trusted and proven and so I am sure of victory at the polls. People are going to vote for change in the general elections and I represent change.
