THE Traditional Ruler of Uwheru Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta HRM Agbaovwe Afugbeya Oyise II recently constituted and inaugurated a 14 member executive council of Chiefs with Chief Voke Uvwie of the Pointer Newspaper emerging as the Publicity secretary of the constituted council.

The monarch while inaugurating the executive Council of Chiefs at his palace recently charged the newly constituted exco members of the Council of Chiefs to live above board and use their wealth of experience to bring the kingdom to the path of progress and development.

The Royal Father, who is also the Odio R’ Ode of the kingdom, further used the opportunity to extend his olive branch to those who has been sitting on the fence since his coronation and presentation of Staff of Office by the State Government to join hands with other progressives of the kingdom to put Uwheru on a pedestial of enviable height amongst other kingdoms in the State.

The members of the Council of Chiefs which would see to the administrative running of the affairs of the kingdom for the next four years include, Chief Leader Uwre (Chairman) Chief Solomon Eritomi (Vice Chairman) Chief Reuben Ekpubeni who is also the ELO of Uwheru kingdom (Secretary) Chief James Obruche (Assistant Secretary) and Chief John Ovieba (Treasurer).

Other members of the Council of Chiefs are Chief Voke Uvwie, who holds the Chieftaincy title as the Ugherughe of Uwheru kingdom (Publicity Secretary) Chief (Mrs.) Mary Obruche, the Oroh of kingdom (Organizing Secretary) Chief Tom Otutu Inihweri (Financial Secretary) Chief Jabin Oyibokure (Spokesman) and Chief Wilfred Ovorayevbie, the Osuotunode of Uwheru kingdom (Deputy spokesman).

Chiefs Conference Chemist and Agbogu Augustine holds the Deputy organizing secretary and Auditor respectively while Chief Idiasa Peter and Oniomoride Etemu emerged the Chief whip and deputy Chief whip respectively.

In his post inaugural speech on behalf of the constituted Council of Chiefs, the Chairman of the Council, Chief Leader Uwre thanked the Royal Father and the entire chiefs for the honour done him and his members and assured that the newly inaugurated Council of Chiefs under his leadership would not jettison the confidence reposed on them.
