… warns criminals to relocate or face wrath of law

The chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr Michael Tidi has set up a security committee to oversee security issues in Igbudu market.

The committee is mandated to gather intelligence and share information with the security agencies.

Tidi, therefore, warned all criminals elements terrorizing Igbudu market to flee to other areas, stressing that any one caught disturbing the peace of the market, will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

The committee was set up on Monday by the chairman during a security meeting held in his office at the Warri South Council main Secretariat, Warri.

The committee which comprises eleven members is headed by the market master of Igbudu market, Mr Tuoyo Ajinomisanghan.

Accordion to the Warri South Council Chairman, the committee is also to see to the day to day running of revenues generated from the market, and how the security architecture of the market will be strengthened.

The committee is to report to the Council chairman on a regular basis.

Present at the security meeting were various security agencies, the President General of Igbudu market, representatives of Igbudu and Hausa communities, amongst others.
