Chairman of Warri South council area, Dr Michael Tidi, has congratulated former Minister of Information and one of the founding fathers of PDP, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, as he turns 80 on Wednesday.

Oyovbaire, who chairs the Delta State Advisory Council and the Governing Council of Delta State University, Abraka, is a renowned academic and politician of consummate repute.

Tidi, in a congratulatory message by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Francis Sadhere, commended the renowned Professor of Political Science for his contributions towards the development of Delta and Nigeria.

Tidi recalled that Oyovbaire played a significant role during the launching of his book, and had continued to support him in his political journey.

“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Warri South council area, I congratulate our father and leader of inestimable value, Prof. (Chief) Sam Ejite Oyovbaire, on the occasion of his 80th birth anniversary.

“Not only do you seamlessly adapt to address the emerging challenges from the persistent ones that we face in our society today, but you are also always striving to make things better with new approaches and such unfaltering determination.

“You have complete integrity and you use that to stand for what you believe is best for the majority.

“Happy birthday to our wonderful political leader who serves the public with great honor. May you have a tremendous birthday today,” Tidi stated.
