Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr Michael Tidi has congratulated Rt Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, on his recent appointment as the Chief of Staff, Government House, Asaba.

Tidi, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Francis Sadhere, while congratulating Agas on his new assignment, commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State for reappointing Agas, his immediate past Chief Strategist, into his government again.

He described the appointment of Agas as putting a “square peg in square hole, adding that Agas has through dint of hard work proved his commitment to the development of Delta.

Tidi stated that the news of the appointment of Agas as the new Chief of Staff, did not come to him as a surprise because, according to him, Agas has over the years, distinguished himself as an astute journalist, lawyer and politician.

“As a former Chief Strategist to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, your outstanding contributions to the socio-economic and political growth of Delta cannot be overemphasized.

“You have worked doggedly behind the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and your have over the years demonstrated your loyalty to the People’s Democratic Party by bringing your wealth of experience to bear on the administration of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

“On behalf of myself and the good people of Warri South council area, I congratulate you, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, on your new appointment as the Chief of Staff Government House, Asaba.

“I have no doubt in my mind that you will continue to do your best to ensure the socio-economic and political growth of Delta,” the Warri South council chairman stated.
