The Warri South Local Government Chairman, Dr Michael Tidi, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State on the occasion of his 6th year as Governor of the state.

Tidi in a congratulatory message in Warri by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Francis Sadhere, described Governor Okowa as leader with a vision.

He said Governor Okowa has been able to touch all parts of the state in terms of education, health, roads, job creation and the economy.

Tidi noted that Okowa has particularly done a lot for Warri South Local Government Area, stressing that Okowa has rehabilitated a lot of roads in Warri.

The Warri South council boss added that “Governor Okowa’s willingness to give Warri respite is best exemplified by the establishment of the Warri-Uvwie Area and Environs Development Agency (WUEDA).

He noted that WUEDA, empowered to bring sustainable social infrastructure to the twin cities of Warri and Effurun, has since risen to effect a positive change.

“Governor Okowa is a grass roots oriented man. He believes that the dividends of Democracy should trickle down to the least person in the state. Most of his developmental projects in the state are need based.

“So on behalf of my family and the good people of Warri South council area, we pray Almighty God will continue to guide you as you continue to pilot the affairs of the state.

“We also use this opportunity to rejoice with the good people of Delta State on the auspicious occasion of the 22nd Anniversary of Democracy in Nigeria,” Tidi said.
