Christians as well as Nigerians have been called upon to reflect on the profound meaning of Easter as a period of rejuvenation, hope and faith.

This call was made by Dcn. Kingsley B. Otuaro, former Deputy Governor of Delta State in his goodwill Easter message made available to Daily Independent in Warri, he said that faith in God is not merely an individual decision but a shared voyage toward a brighter future for the nation.

Accordng to Dcn. Otuaro, a lawyer, as we celebrate the death and resurrection of our dear Lord Jesus Christ this Easter, let us reflect on the profound significance of this season in our lives and our nation. Easter is a time of renewal, hope and faith. It’s a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is always the promise of new beginnings.”

The former Deputy Governor of Delta State pointed out that despite the various challenges facing Nigeria, faith provides the resilience to persist and surmount obstacles such as corruption, insecurity and division.

He added, “believing in God is not just a personal choice; it’s a collective journey towards a brighter future for our nation. In the face of challenges, it’s our faith that gives us the strength to persevere, to keep pushing forward, and to never lose sight of our dreams.

“Nigeria is a land of immense potential, but it’s also a land of diverse challenges. Yet, through faith, we can overcome. We can overcome the barriers of corruption, insecurity, and division. We can build a nation where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive, where justice and equality reign, and where peace and prosperity abound.

Dcn. Otuaro called on Nigerians to remain united, irrespective of ethnicity, religion or background and reaffirm their commitment to the principles that bind the nation together.

Dcn. Otuaro spoke further, “let Easter be a time of renewal for our nation. Let us come together, regardless of tribe, religion or background and recommit ourselves to the values that unite us as Nigerians. Let us strive for excellence in all that we do, knowing that with God on our side, nothing is impossible.”

Citing the biblical books of Romans 15:13, Philippians 4:13, and Jeremiah 29:11, Dcn. Otuaro encouraged Nigerians to find motivation in these passages from the Bible and commit wholeheartedly to the improvement and progress of the nation.
