Prince Tsola Emiko, Olu of Warri-designate.

By Our Correspondent

The Uwangue Family of Jakpa that is responsible for the crowning of the Warri Monarch has backed the emergence of Prince Tsola Emiko as the Olu of Warri-designate.

In a statement signed by six (6) principal members of the family, they maintained that since the selection and confirmation of the Olu designate have been concluded they have no option than to support his candidature.

According to the Uwangue family, a lineage of the Ologbotsere Eyinmisan descendants “we do not have any position known as spokesman of the Ologbotsere Eyinmisan Descendants Worldwide as no decision to create such office was ever reached at any meetings of the families”, stating that whatever statement that is credited to a so-called “spokesman Worldwide” is a figment of his distorted imagination and “personal outburst which we take exception to”

The statement signed by Messrs G.O. Yashobo, Napoleon Edah, A.O. Omagbemi, Mr. Sam Omajuwa, Deacon Ogbemi Edah Akinsan and Mr. S.O. Memuduaghan respectively noted that the series of statements in the print, electronics and social media does not have the blessings of the Uwangue of Warri Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Awala who is the sole authority to authorize any public statement after due consultations with the Uwangue Council of Elders and other relevant authorities of the family.

They therefore urge the general public to disregard and ignore such statements as null and void and of no effect whatsoever.
