Nigerians have been called upon to use the Easter celebration to rebrand themselves and shun social vices in order to enjoy the glory of the Resurrected Jesus Christ.

In his Easter Homily yesterday, the Parish Priest of St Theresa's Catholic Church Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, Rev. Fr. Nathaniel Ajogri, implored Nigerians to do away with things that are not right before God so as to enter into His Kingdom.

The Catholic Priest, specifically urged Nigerians to rebrand themselves and clean up every "Old  Leaven” for them to enjoy the benefits of the Resurrected Jesus Christ.

In his words;"As we celebrate this Easter, let us clean up every “Old Leaven"-- the leaven of malice, the leaven of oppression, the leaven of defraud, the leaven of  hate, the leaven of kidnapping and others.

"All these can corrupt us and deprive us of enjoying the glory of the Resurrected Jesus Christ. Let us rebrand ourselves so that the good things from God can shine forth in  all of us.  Happy Easter to all Nigerians".

According to him; "This is the day that the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it. It is an Easter day; the day of the Resurrection. There is every need for us to rejoice, because on this day, our Salvation has been purchased by the virtue of Jesus’ Resurrection. The Salvation  He won for us is not just individualistic, but also universal. By His Passion and Resurrection, He has redeemed us from oppression and from hell".

"Therefore, the good news here is that “He has risen." The stone could not hold Him bound. That is the glory of Easter. No stone, no obstacle, no weapon can hold your destiny  and success bound in the Mighty name of Jesus!  Do not be subjected to any unauthorized power. They cannot hold you".

"There is a strong power in the Resurrection. Death has no power over us again. The Risen Lord  has paid for Adam's sin. He has paid for our sins. The world greatest security, could not hold the  power of the Resurrection because with the fortified security, the stone was rolled out of His grave.  The Resurrection of Christ is real and powerful. The Lord has Risen and He is alive. Let us be witnesses to the Resurrection. The stone could not hold him. May the power of the Resurrection restore to us all that we have lost", he further said.
