For the third time Hon. Daniel Reyenieju has won the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) primary election for the Warri Federal Constituency.

Reyenieju scored 70 votes to defeat other three contestants: Mr. Valentine Arayenka, Mrs. Olivia Agbajoh and Ete Harinma.

Areyinka polled 56 voters while Agbajor and Harinm scored one and two votes respectively.

The election which was held at the Warri township stadium was conducted amid tight security.

One of the aspirants, Mrs. Alero Ogbemi, through the PDP Returning Officer, Mr. Tony Nwaka announced her withdrawal from the contest before the voting.

According to Nwaka, 130 delegates were accredited for the election and 129 votes were casted.

Electoral officers arrived the venue at about 5:10 pm while accreditation of delegates commenced at 5:30

Voting started at about 5:45 pm and ended at about 6:10 pm.

Responding to the victory, Reyenieju said: “The election was transparent, the delegates were allowed to exercise their franchise, it was an election of no victor, no vanquish.

“Why I focus on the February election, I also wish my fellow contestants well in their political careers.”
