Chief (Mrs) Esther Olojeme, the flamboyant top notch supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan, is set to defect to APC.

An impeccable source close to her the former Delta PDP governorship aspirant has been reaching out to top members of the ruling All Progressives Congress including the National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun who is from the Delta/Edo axis.

Olojeme was known to be a very powerful member of Jonathan kitchen cabinet and a very big financier of the then ruling party.
She served as various times as Chairman of Finance Committee of the PDP where she was credited with being a very big donour to the re-election bid of former President Jonathan.

Olojeme who appeared to have gone underground since the re-election of Jonathan is now reported to be contacting APC chieftains with a view to defect before long.

Reports indicated that the once powerful woman is seeking protection which she felt she can only get by defecting to the ruling party.

It is however not clear what Olojeme is seeking protection from, though sources close to her reveal that the defection plot may not be unconnected to her alleged huge funding of the Jonathan re-election campaign.

While effort to reach her proved abortive,  a member of her political group in Asaba disclosed that she has hinted them of the need for political realignment following the defeat of President Jonathan.

“Madam has told us with style that there will be need for changes of camp. Many of us are aware but she has not told us when the defection will take place,” he said.
