The Chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalists, Delta State Council, Comrade Norbert Chiazor has stated categorically that no part of the NUJ land was tampered, the Chairman, who visited the land site alongside with some journalist recently at Marian Babangida way Asaba mentioned that the entire land was occupied by Anglican women association and ophthalmologist association.

The Chairman thanked the Delta state government led by Dr. Emmanuel E. Uduaghan and the state commissioner of information Barr. Chike Ogeah for making it possible for NUJ to have a permanent secretariat, adding that it is first of its kind since the inception of the state.

Chiazor opined that the governor paid almost 2million naira to ensure that the press are been carried along and a certificate of ownership was handed over to him by the appropriate authority, He also said that work will soon commence.

The NUJ outstanding chairman advised the journalist in the state to support Gov. Uduaghan in his strides to human development agenda and other governmental policies and shun news and stories that will distract the government policies and uphold the ethics of disseminating factual information to the public.
