The National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), Comrade Sheriff Mulade has called on youths in Delta State to shun social vices and be focused in life just as he called for ethnic harmony among the various tribes in the state.

Speaking at Okwagbe- Inland,  Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state while declaring open the 36th Annual Bible Study (Okwagbe 2016) of The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Warri Battalion Council, Comrade Mulade implored the youths drawn from the 25 Local Government Areas of the State to be of good behavior always and avoid bad influence and urged war mongers in the state to give peace a chance.

The CEPEJ boss who chaired the occasion, described youths as leaders of tomorrow and advised them to respect constituted authorities always and avoid breaking the law.

He charged the youths to work for peace and harmony, saying that as leaders of tomorrow, much was expected from them.

Comrade Mulade who was decorated as a Patron of the Boys’Brigade Nigeria said that; ” Am so glad to be  here today to declare this ceremony open. Am proud to be associated with The Boys’Brigade Nigeria Warri Battalion Council, I want to appeal to all of you who made it to the 36th Annual Bible Study Camp to shun social vices, take your studies very seriously. Youths are the leaders of tomorrow and as such much is expected from you”.

“Some of our youths decided to join bad gangs in life, they want to make it quick in life without working hard, some of them dropped out of school and turned something else in the society. Some of them got into drugs, armed robbery, cultism and prostitution. Today, such youths are terrorising our society. They have ended up destroying their future and disappointing the society. Please, my dear youths, do not engage in bad things. Do not destroy your future”, he advised.

According to him also;” While in Camp here in Okwagbe, obey all the rules as you are being prepared now from this stage for your future. Strive at all times to be a good citizen of this great country. Do not engage in things that will bring disgrace to the society. Be patriotic citizens”.

Comrade Mulade also advised the youths to live together as one people and shun ethnic discrimination, pointing out that;” In Delta State, we are brothers and sisters. Let us live peacefully with one another without tribal discrimination. We do not need to fight ourselves. We should join hands with our leaders to build a united Delta State of our dream. Ethnic crisis will not bring about peace and development. We need peace to develop. War mongers in the state must give peace a chance. Those beating drums of war in Delta State should follow the path of peace as war will not do us any good”.

Reuben who also attended the 36th Annual Bible Study Camp of The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Warri Battalion Council at Okwagbe-Inland where he was honoured as a Patron of The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, spoke in the same vein, imploring the youths to live in peace and harmony.
