Chairman of Warri South Local Government,Hon. Michael Tidi has enjoined workers in the public sector,particularly the civil class in the local government service not to be discouraged due to paucity of fund in the resolve to provide efficient service to the people,assuring that efforts to shore up the IGR drive by the Delta State Government and his administration will soon start yielding the needed dividends.

Hon. Tidi in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri to mark this year’s Workers Day, admonished public servants, particularly civil servants at the local government level to come up with innovations that will boost internally generated revenue drive, enhance service delivery to the governed and reduce over-dependence on monthly allocations from FAAC.

The Warri South Local Government Boss while acknowledging the challenges being faced by public servants in the country as a result of increasing cost of living,enjoined the Nigerian Labour Congress and its affiliate unions to device ways of making workers invest their resources into enduring ventures,so as to guarantee better life after public service.

He assured that his administration was doing everything possible to improve workers welfare and provide a more conducive working environment.
