The South-South Liason Officer to Levant Construction Company, Mr. Felix Aganbi has appealed to the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III to urgently call on the Minister Niger Delta Ministry, Sen. Godswil Skpabio to make funds available to the contractor handling the road project to enable them mobilize to site to vigorously continue their job.

Mr. Aganbi made the appeal at Koko, Headquarters of Warri North L.G.A of Delta State when the royal father visited the project to assess the level of job execution saying that the project, when completed would not only provide jobs for the teaming jobless youths in the area but also open up a major network of inter-connected communities in the riverine area and make the journey from Delta State to Ekpe in Lagos state a mere one hour thirty minutes travel by road.

According to Mr. Aganbi who is also a business mogul and industrialist cum major community stakeholders, the Koko-Ogheye road project is a very viable project that would grow the fisheries business and socio-economic lives of Nigerians at large.

“Funding is a major challenge stalling the completion of the job. If funds are made available today Levant would mobilize to site tomorrow . Sir, help us to talk to the Minister of the Niger Delta Ministry to make funds available to use as he promised to ensure completion of the project under his watch during your reign”, Aganbi appealed to the Olu

Responding, the Royal father promised to get in touch with the minister to facilitate funding, saying that the economic benefit of the project is quiet enormous and deserve the concrete efforts of all well meaning Nigerians as the over 50 years project has been too long on the drawing board since the Chief Festus Okotie Eboh ear of the first republic.

Earlier, the Olu of Warri has assured the Olara-Aja (Head of Koko Community Pa. Richwell Atsenuwa and his Olori-ebis) (family Heads) that he would make out time to properly visit the community during his thank you tour of the various Itsekiri communities saying, “This visit is properly for this all important Koko-Ogheye road project” and charged them to remain peaceful at all times.

The Warri Monarch had in a letter to Pa. Atsenuwa acknowledged him as the koko Community head together with his Council of elders and acting members of Koko Community Management Authority, KCMC, led by Mr. Omonedo Richard.
