Philip Jeremiah Eke a renowned journalist, legislative consultant and former councilor Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area in Bayelsa State during 1996 to 1997 Legislative years. The group in an enlarge congress meeting held at Sorrintina Hotels, Amarata made the disclosure said ,Hon. Philip Eke has the prerequisite for proper representation in Kolokuma/Opokuma local Government Area constituency two and to provide the electorates the needed dividends of democracy.

The interim president of the group stressed that is former local Government councilor now very renowned in legislative and media consultancy services who had presented several bills to local government council merit and presented several bills and motion in various House of Assemblies, in Nigeria, especially in Rivers State,

Bayelsa among others. Mr. John further states that House of Assembly is all about lawmaking who berated some Honourable members for poor representation as bench warmers who has no legislative backing, or has no mission in the Assembly to improve the living condition of the electorates rather than seeking personal aggrandizement.

Hon. Philip Eke while fielding questions from newsmen soon after the enlarge congress meeting, thanked the group for their choice, noting that “I have been in politics for quite some time and apparently, this is my time, it is divinely made”, while urging his constituency in Kolokuma/Opokuma to give him the maximum support, stressing that election is a collective effort, also pledging to initiate good bills and motions to better the lives of the electorates.

According to Hon. Eke after elaborate consultation with friends, well wishers and stakeholders before he finally accepted to contest for the state House of Assembly, he further revealed that several social political organizations put pressure on him to contest the Bayelsa State House of Assembly seat. “I have been a grass root politician over the years.

I am so much abreast of my constituency I pledge affirmatively to provide the basic needs of my people, do consultative governance, the youths, elders, women groups would be carried along when voted into power come 2015.

“With my humble and kind heartedness, I promise whole heartedly in bringing government closer to my people, whom I stand to represent and it is a divine call to service”.

For the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan, Hon. Eke said Nigerians should give hundred percent votes to the incumbent president to enable him continue his developmental stride in making Nigeria a country of our dream.
