Urhobo Nation has been called upon to ignore Chief Joe Omene, President General, Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) just as he has been described as a drawing and confused person.

The call was made by Alhaji Mumakai-Unagha, former National Publicity Secretary of the UPU in a statement made available to the National Reformer in apparent reaction to some comments credited to Chief Omene
as published in some local and national newspapers, he described Chief
Omene as unpatriotic Urhobo whose utterances after the dissolution of
the two factions of the union as a drowning person.

Alhaji Mumakai-Unagha maintained that the action of Chief Omene has not only brought disgraced to the entire Urhobo nation adding that Chief Omene is over due for sanctions.

He stated that if Chief Omene is working for the interest of Urhobo as he claimed, he should bow out now that ovation is the loudest.

Alhaji Unagha pointed out that Chief Omene and his group should refund the Urhobo money they allegedly shared amongst themselves as published in several newspapers for the development of the Urhobo Cultural Centre, Uvwiamuge the pride of Urhobo Nation.
