The newly sworn-in women leader of Ikpere-Ale Meje Women Trading Association of Ugborodo, Escravos in Warri South-West Council Area of Delta State, Madam Oritsematosan Nuko has promised to build on the good legacies of the out-gone executives led by Chief Mercy Olowu to take the association to greater heights.

The new woman leader made this pledge during the swearing-in ceremony of the new executives that took place at the Ugborodo House, Ajamimogha, Warri, saying that they are set to run an all- inclusive government that would better the lots is all Ugborodo women in particular and the entire community at large.

Speaking shortly before performing the swearing-in ceremony, Chief (Mrs) Mercy Olowu who is the founder of the group, stated that “as directed by the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse 111, stated that election should not tear the Association apart” and therefore reserved four key positions to the opposition group inspite of their absence at the ceremony and wished the new executive a successful and smooth term in office.

In her acceptance speech, the newly sworn-in leader, Madam Oritsematosan Nuko thanked the out-going executives for keeping the Association united, strong, vibrant and energetic even as she enjoined members of the opposition to join hands with them to keep the ship afloat.

Those sworn-in are: Oritsematosan Nuko – Leader, Maureen Edun – Asst. PRO, Bose Omadeli Mene – Member, Eyitemi Omaghomi – Member, Vick Eyinoloma – Treasurer, Roli Iyonsi – Member, Paulina Omagbe – Secretary, Mama Tuoyo – Member, Adelu Ajuwa – Member, Christy Emami – Auditor, Omawu Akator – Member, Margret Dumi – Member, Bridget Fregene Edah – Asst. Fin. Secretary, Esther Okoturoh – Returning Officer, Florence Ejeh – Deputy Leader, Toju Okoturoh – member, Tajinere Mejebi – member, Eyuro Tata – Member.

The position Public Relations Officer, PRO, Financial Secretary, Asst. Secretary and one other member are yet to be filled as the positions given to the opposition group to give them a sense of belonging.
