A group under the aegis of  Macaulay Political Vanguard (MPV) has urged the people of Nigerians and Deltans to re-elect President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and all People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the forth coming general elections.

The group, who made the call through its Coordinator General and Vice Chairman, Comr. Harry Ujiro Okoro, noted that MPV among other groups of Comr. Ovuzourie Macaulay are working in line with the ideologies of PDP and the interest of their principal.

He emphasized that what Nigerians and Deltans needed at this critical period of the nations socio-political history is PDP that has capable hands and clear understanding of the needs and aspiration of the people.

He explained that, “the onerous task of leading a Nation like Nigeria and a State like Delta with their ethnic diversity and political sophistication requires men of experience, humility and grassroots reach in persons of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who are ready to give the masses the much needed leadership”

MVP further drummed support for Senator James Manager for Delta South, Rt Hon. Leo Ogor Okuweh for Isoko Federal Constituency and Hon. Barr. Tim Kome Owhefere for Delta State House of Assembly, Isoko North constituency; while urging the electorates to vote PDP at all levels for continuity and democratic gains.

Commenting on controversial issues trailing the yet to be conducted general elections, Okoro posited that, the Card Reader; naturally is not a threat and it is not out of place just as he maintained that, the shift in the polls has helped a large numbers of voters acquire their PVC whom he said would have been disenfranchise if the elections were to be conducted in February

He added that the use of military personnel in the elections will greatly guarantee security. He therefore advised youths to be in the vanguard of peace
and eschew violence of any form, before, during and after the election.

The coordi nator also commended Comr. Ovuzourie Macaulay over his contribution to the growth and development of Delta State since 1999, adding that, his role in the government of the state are worthy of acknowledgement.
