A group, Soft Touch Global ( STG), a Non-governmental organization established to educate and sensitize Nigerians on the need for peaceful co-existence on Tuesday called on Nigerians to promote ethnic unity and shun hate speech that will divide the country.

 

IMG-20170627-WA0004The Director General of Soft Touch Global (STG), High Chief Assay Anthony Omamuzo who made this call in Warri, Delta state, advised Nigerians to avoid the on-going drum beat of destruction and chanting of war song which has created religious and ethnic tension in various part of the nation.
He also advised the current administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari to use stringent measures in tackling corruption and to build on the remarkable legacy.

 

He urged the current administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure all ethnic nationalities in the country continue to enjoy the sustainable peace and unity, saying enough is enough to disunity among.

 

The STG Director General further appealed to politicians, religious leaders and traditional institutions to stop their continued agitation for a break, saying “What we stand to lose at the advanced stage of conflict is more devastating than whatever gains we anticipate. All hands must be on deck to keep Nigeria as one entity.”

 

“Whatever we have not been able to achieve as a nation, we cannot achieve when we are divided. There is more need now for our collaboration than ever before. It was Unity that brought us together and it require the same unity to keep us together as one family.

 

“Nigerians need to be peaceful and united in order to sustain the existing unity in the country for the interest of growth and development of the nation. There is beauty in unity,” Omamuzo noted.

 

IMG-20170627-WA0003According to him, “STG is a peace building organization aimed to create peace because the country right now is in the verge of collapsing. Together, Nigerians will be stronger collectively and the national interest is more paramount than any sectional or parochial interest.”

 

Omamuzo also revealed that on the 1st of July 2017, Soft Touch Global will be organising a 1-day workshop to include lectures, unveiling of STG Peace & National Unity Magazine, STG Co-operative Society, Android Apps, Safety/Peace & Unity tips with Telecom Companies.
