Global Peace Watch dog Bemoans Xenophobic attacks on Nigeria

Global peace watch Dog Association, one of the Leading peace building organizations globally has described the recent xenophobic attacks by some irate south Africans against Nigerians and the burning of their shops as utterly reprehensible.

While appealing to Nigeria and South Africa to quickly to restore law and order on the streets before we begin to think of how to normalize our relation, it is so sad to express.

The project Director Nigeria, Global peace watch Association Ambassador Engr G Tony made the assertion while fielding questions from newsmen in Lagos, stressing that, the Africa Union (AU) should prevail on the south African Government to take immediate measures to protect and safeguard the lives and properties of African migrants and, indeed, all nationals resident in South Africa and ensure that real compensation are paid to the families of all who lost their family members and relations and also for the loss of properties.

While appealing to Nigerian youths not to react ignorantly against the South Africans living in Nigeria, Federal Government will do everything possible in ensuring lasting solution.

Equally, Global peace berates several killings by herdsmen and Boko Haram saga in the country, especially killings in the North East of Nigeria is unacceptable, several innocent souls has been sent to un-timely graves.

Also, using the opportunity to commend the Federal Government for the evacuation of Nigerians from South Africa, stressing that the South Africa Government should pay adequate compensation to victims. While appealing to Nigerian students to be very conscious and to be peace loving.
