As part of efforts to Keep Warri Clean, the Warri South Local Government Council through its Special Taskforce on Beautification has embarked on “Operation Keep Warri Clean.”

The activities were kicked off today, with Environmental Sanitation works ongoing at various locations in Warri Metropolis.

The Warri South LGC has given a mandate to the Special Beautification Committee to ensure that all areas within the LGA wears a new look at the end of this excerise, while reiterating the commitment of his administration to ensure a cleaner Warri.

Chairman of the Special Taskforce on Beautification , Mr Kenneth George, advised residents to comply with keeping their environment clean, warning that the Taskforce will not fail to prosecute anybody found littering their premises with dirts and disposing their refuse indiscriminately.

He also urged all business owners in the council to patronize the PSPs as there will be “Operation Show your PSP receipt” from residents and shop owners in the council.

Car Owners have been warned to stop disposing their waste on the road side while driving, stressing that anyone caught will be prosecuted.

The Task Force Chairman also warned Cat Pushers in the council to relocate as their activities are prohibited in the council, adding that anyone caught will be prosecuted according to the laws of the land.
