The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr Michael Tidi, has felicitated with all Muslims in the Council for celebrating this year’s Eid-El-Maulud.

Tidi said the celebration is a significant day that marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and a time when we reflect on his teachings of peace, compassion, and unity.

He noted that Eid-el-Maulud was not just a celebration of the birth of the beloved Prophet, but also an opportunity for residents in the council to come together in peace, love, tolerance, and kindness which are the hallmarks of development.

While noting that Warri South Council is blessed with vibrant and diverse ethnic groups, Tidi appealed to residents in the council to imbibe the culture of empathy and togetherness.

Tidi in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Francis Sadhere, said, “As we celebrate this day, let us remember that it is only in the atmosphere of unity and togetherness that we can achieve the needed development that we all yearn for.

“I want to commend the residents in Warri South Local Government Area for their cooperation with my administration. As we celebrate this day, I urge you to continue to maintain the peace we are enjoying in the council.

“As we celebrate Eid-El-Maulud, I urge you all to extend a hand of friendship to your neighbors, regardless of their background or beliefs. Let us open our hearts to those less fortunate and share our blessings with those in need. In doing so, we not only honor the teachings of the Prophet but also strengthen the bonds that hold our community together.

“I also want to use this opportunity to reaffirm my Administration’s unwavering commitment to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

“May this Eid-El Maulud bring peace, happiness, and smoothness into your life, and hope that Allah showers his unending blessings on you. Happy Eid-El-Maulud to our Muslim brothers.”
