Delta State Police Command have arrested an alleged notorious cultist, Uche Omenka just as sixteen others escaped after they allegedly Mr. Odita Ben Ochei, Chairman, Delta Parks Management Committee at Koka motor park in Asaba.

The suspect and his gang who were alleged to be members of the “Aye Confraternity” allegedly
stormed the Parks, shot sporadically and caused tension in the area.

A source on ground disclosed that they later attacked Mr. Odita Ben Ochei with his members with a view to topple his leadership at the Park.

The source said that Mr. Ochei and his members of the Delta Parks Management Committee resisted their moves and chased them away.

But with the synergy of the Anti-kidnapping, Anti-Cult, SARs, Eagle-Net, Dragon and the Operation Safe Delta , all of Delta Police Command who had before now chased out cultists out of Asaba and its environs, met the scene and aided the arrests of the suspect, Uche Omenka.

In a chat with newsmen, the Chairman of the Delta Parks Management Committee, Mr. Odita Ben Ochei expressed gratituted to Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa, Commissioner of Police, Delta State for his the Delta State Commissioner of Police for his fight against crime and criminalities especially cultism in the state.

According to Mr. Ochei,” “cultists invaded our park. They were arrested but they were released. After they were released, one Uche Omenka mobilized 16 others who invaded our parks, shooting sporadically and attacked me and my members with cutlasses and battle axe. They were accosted by the police. He is a member of Aye Confraternity.”

Contacted for comments, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa confirmed the report in a text message sent to The National Reformer in Warri.

CP Inuwa said,” Yes, just got the report that a cultist Uche Omeka was arrested for using battle axe against someone at Koka Motor Park. As for shooting I did not get that report.”
