The Police in Delta State have arrested a pastor simple identified as Pastor Oro Oboreh who lured a 14-year old girl into a cemetery in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.

According to a press statement released by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, the suspect was arrested with the young girl at about 12am in the cemetery when a surveillance patrol team from Ozoro Division was on routine patrol.

The pastor, when interrogated according to the statement, claimed to be performing spiritual healing on the said young girl to enable her attain academic prowess.

According to the statement: “On 30/7/2015 at about 2230hrs, Surveillance patrol team from Ozoro Division while on routine patrol arrested one Pastor Oro Oboreh ‘m’ of Christ Freedom Family A.K.A. Amazing Grace, Ozoro, in a cemetery at Ozoro with one Chioma Praise (f), aged 14 years. The suspect claimed that he was performing spiritual healing on the said Chioma Praise to enable her attain academic prowess.”

However, the police who suspected that the man is a ritualist, said investigation is ongoing to know the true reason why he was with the girl in a cemetery at that ungodly hour.

In a similar development the Delta State police also rescued eight pregnant girls from a baby factory in Asaba.

“On 30/7/2015 at about 2038hrs, Police detectives from GRA Division Asaba, while acting on a tip off raided a suspected baby factory opposite Federal Radio Corporation, Asaba and arrested its operator, one John Mary Ihezun ‘m’. Eight pregnant girls, namely (1) Ihezue Nkemjika, (2) Amaka Agu, (3) Isioma Anukwu, (4) Blessing Okafor, (5) Imezoma Okeke, (6) Chioma Oje, (7) Precious Ihemine, (8) Nzube Chukwu, and two boys, one Prince Chukwu and Obum Nwankwo were also arrested from the said baby factory,” the statement read.
