AHEAD of the Monday, December 8, 2014 Governorship primaries, former Delta State Energy Commissioner, Mr. Charles Emetulu, has urged delegates to vote wisely so as to keep the state at the top, just as he shed light on why he wants to take over from Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.

Mr. Charles Emetulu

The former Commissioner, a frontrunner governorship aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a telephone interview with our Correspondent said the foundation already laid by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan must be sustained, describing himself as the best man for the job.

While urging delegates to be guided by the need to move the state to the next level, Mr. Emetulu “I have learnt so much from our dynamic Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan. He has done so much for the state and I am coming to add more blocks to the solid foundation already laid by the Governor.”

“I want to run People-oriented administration, everybody will be carried along, I am out to serve all Deltans, it is my desire, if elected to take more of our youths from the streets into an agriculture sector,” the governorship aspirant said.

He added that, “I believe in continuity, there will be no abandoned projects. I am young and have the energy to turn the fortunes of the state for the betterment of all Deltans. There is a leadership in the world today. We need younger generation to take over the affairs of the state. Check out Britain and the United States of America; let us give the younger generation the chance to pilot the affairs of our great state. Apart from being a Deltan, I am duly qualified to run for the office of the Governor and my chances at the primaries are very bright and I am out to give Delta State a bright future.”
