Legal fireworks will soon begin in Delta as the state Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has finalized arrangements with a team of legal luminaries to challenge the results of the April 11 Governorship elections in the state.

Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, Delta APC Guber Candidate.

The team, comprising Constitutional Lawyers and Senior Legal Practitioners versed in election related matters, has vowed to use the legal means to nullify the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning Senator Ifeanyi Okowa of the PDP as Governor-Elect for Delta State.

APC Governorship candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, in a statement, said the election that produced Senator Okowa of the PDP was fraught with irregularities and various degrees of malpractices, hence, he is employing all legal means to challenge and nullify the results declared by INEC.

He claimed that the election was massively rigged in favour of PDP, asserting that the APC legal team would be able to get judgment by relying on the number of accredited voters captured by the card readers as well as video clips of certain persons including INEC agents caught on video thumb printing ballot papers in favour of PDP and the Labour Party.

Emerhor said the people of Delta State voted for Buhari during the Presidential elections and also voted for the APC and its governorship candidate on April 11 but that the state ruling party suppressed the electorate’s decisions at the polls.

The party is relying on the Buhari’s Presidency to actualize the goal in the state.
