The Planning Committee for the annual award ceremony organized by Oasis Magazine, a fast growing news magazine has penned 30 prominent Nigerians who have made their marks in their chosen profession/career, philanthropy among other areas for the 2017 programme that holds alongside her 4th anniversary.

According to a statement signed Rev. Dr. Felix Ugono and Mitchelle Michael, chairman and secretary respectively, Planning Committee, made available to National Reformer, this year’s event, unlike previous editions, has nominees from beyond Delta State, adding that each awardee will be decorated as a distinguished Nigerian; hence the award was called ‘Distinguished Nigerian Award,’ (DISNA ).

The statement gave the names of the awardees to include HRM Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd.), Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Rev. (Dr.) Felix Omobude, National President,

Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Nigeria; High Chief Peter Esievo, MD/CEO, Evomec Royal Hotel, Oviorie, Delta State; Sir Engr. (Dr.) Dele Omenogor, Chairman/CEO, Konum Farms Limited, Amai, Delta State; Bishop (Dr.) Curtis Fianu, Church of God Mission, New Warri Bishopric, Effurun, Delta State; Rev. Fr. Christopher Ekabo, Parish Priest, St. Patrick Catholic Church,Sapele, Delta State.

The statement added that others include,  Most Revd. Dokiboeriya Bray Kaladokubo, Diocesan/Archbishop, The African Church, Rivers Province;  Olorogun (Dr.) Felibens Okoro, Branch President, Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Rivers State and Hon. Rambi Ibrahim Ayala (The 1st Gamzakin Tangale), Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources & Environment, Gombe State.

Others are Chief John Osemede Adun, Chairman, Bob Izua Transport Company, Chief Godwin E. Agofure, Chairman, Agofure Motors, Prophet Goddey Iboyi (JP), General Overseer, Promise Kingdom Ministry Inc. Three Delta State House of Assembly members that made the list are Hon. Efe Ofobruku, representing Uvwie Constituency, Hon. Peter Onwusanya, representing Oshimilli South Constituency and Hon. Daniel Mayuku, representing Warri South-West Constituency.
