As the battle for the soul of Delta Central Senatorial seat in the national assembly hots up, the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt Hon Oborevwori Sheriff Francis Orohwedor, has said that Okpe people of Urhobo nation cannot produce a senator in 2023.

Candidate Oborevwori made the assertion at the Ward campaign in Mosogar, Ethiope West Local Government Area on Tuesday, saying that the good people of ancient Okpe Kingdom in Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency in Delta Central Senatorial District are very pleased and contented with the governorship slot given to them by Deltans and PDP.

He pointed out that to vote an Okpe son for Senate in 2023, is not only politically incorrect, morally insensitive, ridiculous and undoable in all ramifications, but also repugnant to natural justice, equity and good conscience.

Oborevwori, who holds the prestigious chieftaincy title of Ukodo of Okpe Kingdom, assured that Okpe cannot produce both the governor and a Senator in one full swoop in 2023, adding that Okpe people in Delta Central have resolved to cast their votes for PDP Delta Central senstorial candidate, Chief Ighoyota Amori, on the basis of equity, justice, balance of power and good conscience.

“Okpe people are very happy and satisfied with the goverorship slot giving to us by PDP and the good people of Delta State.

“We are not greedy people in Okpe Kingdom, therefore we have resolved to vote Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate to represent the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District from May 29,. 2023 and beyond.

“I am a principled man, who believe in the universal principles of equity, justice, fair play and good conscience. It is only fair for the sake of balance of power to vote Amori for Senate. Okpe people of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency are contented with the governorship slot.

“In Ethiope West LGA, you are to Vote 5/5 in 2023; Atiku-Okowa for President, Sheriff-Onyeme for Governor, Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Mrs Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu for House of Representatives and Pastor Chris Onogba for House of Assembly,” Oborevwori said.
