The twenty four Kings in Urhobo Kingdoms have endorsed the All Progressives  Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor as their candidate in the 2015 general elections.

URHOBO KINGS ADOPT OLOROGUN OTEGA

The royal fathers made this endorsement at the royal palace of the Ovie of Ughelli on December 31, where they robbed minds with the APC candidate in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.

According to a press statement made available to our correspondent in Warri and signed by Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Director of Media & Political Communication, O’tega 4 Governor Campaign Organization, the meeting turned out to be a huge success,  as the royal fathers after much deliberation endorsed him as Urhobo candidate for the governorship election slated for  February 28.
Addressing the kings, Olorogun Emerhor humbly submitted before the royal fathers that his mission in the present political dispensation  is to partner with Deltans in the forthcoming election so as to end the 16 years misrule of PDP and then strategise to turnaround the fortunes of oil rich Delta State.
He told the royal fathers that Labour Party is only differs in name but in real sense, an appendage of the ruling PDP, adding that the original Uvwiamuge Declaration is to the effect that if PDP fails to give urhobo the party ticket, UPU will endorse the Urhobo candidate in the alternative national party. APC is the alternative national party which is why UPU must of a necessity endorse Olorogun O’tega Emerhor so as to fultill the Urhobo Governor Agenda.
The Urhobo kings in an overwhelming voice votes endorsed the APC candidate. The royal fathers sang gospel songs and  prayed favently for God to guide and protect him at this crucial electioneering period in the state with a firm promise to ensure that his aspirations to facilitate the restoration of economic prosperity to Deltanss achieved through sensitization of Deltans and people of Delta Central.
