D’ Life Dynasty Collaborates With Idjerhe Monarch To Unveil 2nd Edition Of Otorho-Idjerhe Marathon Race 2026 For Peace

The Second Edition of the Otorho-Idjerhe Marathon Race 2026 is a 21.097km (13.1Miles) professionally measured course that will take runners through the heart of Idjerhe kingdom.

This was disclosed by Engr. Longlife Eko, Convener and Initiator, Otorho-Idjerhe Marathon Race while briefing journalists in Jesse Town, he said that the 2nd Edition of the marathon race is scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 7, 2026 in Idjerhe kingdom.

Engr. Eko said that this edition
which is a follow-up to the first Edition that saw runners from all parts of Nigeria would be far better and bigger.

Engr. Eko further disclosed that the Second Edition of the race will be professionally organised by FENCSO Event Sports Management and Marketing Company.

According to Engr. Eko, “we are bringing in a blend of professionalism in. With their expertise and track record in sports management and marketing, we are confident that this edition will meet global standards in registration, security, timing, medical support, and media coverage”.

While noting that this year’s theme is, “Run For Peaceful Community Building And Transformation,” Engr. Eko said that the purpose is to use athletics to unite Idjerhe kingdom, drive peace, wellness and community transformation.

He called on sons and daughters of Idjerhe Kingdom, home and abroad to stand shoulder high and support the forthcoming second edition, adding that the marathon belongs to all and support can come in form of sponsorship and participation.

In his comments, Mr. Peter Usen, Chairman, Local Organising Committee said that vision of HRM Monday A. Whiskey, Udurhie 1, Ovie of Idjerhe kingdom for peace, progress and unity of Idjerhe kingdom forms the foundation upon which they, the organizers of the Marathon Race is building upon.

According to Mr. Usen, D’ Life Dynasty, under Engr. Eko has provided the drive, expertise and resources to translate that vision into concrete reality.”

Mr. Usen disclosed that this Second Edition is open for male categories only with the winner going home with N500,000:00 as first prize, first runner up to smile home with N300,000:00 as second prize and the second runner up to bag N200,000:00 as third prize while 4th to 10th positions to pick up N20,000 with other consolation prizes and finishers medals.

In his comments, Mr. Event Ekeruvbe, Project Consultant disclosed that the take off time for the race is 7:00 am on Saturday, November 7, 2026 beginning from Idjerhe Express Junction near the Army Checkpoint and the finishing point will be at D’ Life Dynasty in Idjerhe Town.

Mr. Clinton Gbaragada who spoke on behalf of Mr. Ekeruvbe further disclosed that there would be maximum medical care for all participants in the race, adding, “every athlete, must present a Medical Certificate of Fitness from a registered and recognized hospital dated 3 months before the date of race.”

Also speaking, Engr. Sanni Usman, Co-Convener said that the budget will cover professional race delivery by Fensco Event Sports Management and Marketing, adding that everyone will partner for the progress and upliftment of great Idjerhe Kingdom.

On her part, Mrs. Chinyere Eko , Co- Convener disclosed that the vision came from their passion to promote healthy living and empower the young and old through sports and as well put a blue print that will bring progress and development.
