The Warri South Council COVID-19 Enforcement Taskforce led by Mr. Elvis Eboh on Friday ordered the closure of Delta City Park (former Agofure Park) at Warri Sapele Road by Deco junction, over zero compliance of the COVID-19 rules.

The Enforcement Taskforce Chairman, ordered manager of the park, Mr. Tega Odegegbe, to return transport fares of passengers waiting to embark on journey from the park.

According to Eboh, “No hand sanitizer, soap and running water was seen at the park, despite its usually heavy passenger traffic.”

Recall that the Warri South Council Chairman, Dr Michael Tidi had on Monday inaugurated the taskforce as part of renewed efforts by the council authority to halt the spike in Coronavirus cases in the council area.

The taskforce were mandated to commence a reinvigorated enforcement of COVID – 19 preventive rules in public places, including communities in the council area.
